Travel Tips
 
  • Travel light, take one small carry-on and one small suitcase. Use spacebags (no I'm not on their payroll) and pack only the necessities.

 

  •  
    Your small carry-on should include: one full change of clothes, toothbrush, toothpaste, necessary toiletries, medicines, your valuables and travel documents.

 

  • Be prepared for any kind of weather.

 

  • Wear broken-in, comfortable shoes.

 

  • On the airplane, wear loose, comfortable clothing, walk around and drink lots of water.

 

  • Expect delays.

 

  • Bring some books, magazines, and/or an iPod to entertain yourself during long flights and in case of delays.

 

  • Pack a camera.

 

  • Carry all your money on you --purchase a money belt.

 

  • Bring a small amount of foreign currency.

 

  • Wear a watch and reset it the destination's time while on route.

 

  • Know the electrical current of the countries you are visiting.

 

  • Be prepared to ride publc transportation.

 

  • Be prepared to walk huge distances!

 

  • Be respectful of local customs.

 

  • Dress conservatively.

 

  • Drink lots of water, check with tour guide regarding availabilty.

 

  • Bring a foreign language dictionary and phrase book.

 

  • Put money aside for your portion of the tip for the courier and the bus driver as well as for spending on the return trip home.
